Introducing, Jessica Williams Founder/CEO of JMW Career Consulting

What do you do? How long have you done it? How did you get started?

I have the honor of empowering mid-executive level professionals in snatching a seat at the table or breaking the table. I coach professionals through various strategies such ass interview pro, job searching, resume readiness, and LinkedIn optimization. I’ve built my experience over 13 years and am working on my 3rd year of full entrepreneurship. I got started in 2018 after experiencing some of the worst corporate leadership I could have imagined. At that point, I knew my expertise was designed to support more people. I was limited in salary due to my lack of education. I was retaining roles that were not designed for me because of my work ethic, and due to the fact that I could walk the walk. Career consulting came natural to me because I am a natural go getter and complex problem solver when it comes to finding the right connecting pieces.

If you could go back 5 years, what advice would you give your younger self?

I would inform my younger self that the struggle is going to be worth something greater later on.

I would remind myself to give more grace and to take more action because you have a power that others need. Don't, take no as failure take it as an opportunity to accept something better.

What tips would you give an aspiring EntrepreneuHer who wants to be in your industry?

Embrace your unique power and be completely organic to your personality. Do not get absorbed into the trends of others in your industry. Be open to making connections, collaborations, and focus on building you because your brand will follow.

What has been your greatest accomplishment in your business and personal life?

My greatest accomplishment has been empowering 1000+ professionals in 3 years to finding their voice to advocate their irreplaceable value. My personal life I’ve been able to take life by the horns and do ANYTHING I’ve wanted to. (Travel, enjoy a seat at my own table, and break when I want)

What's next for you?

My next steps are to get more involved in helping in corporate. I want professionals to understand their value as a competitive candidate.
