Your ATL Hot Spots

Have you been to Atlanta? If you live here I’m sure you have your go-to spots that you love. Maybe you haven't even been to ALT yet. There’s so much to see in this city that it can get overwhelming, especially when visiting. That’s why I’ve put together this guide just for you!

SHOPPING & FOOD

PONCE CITY MARKET

Ponce City Market is a large and vibrant market that offers food and shops for all tastes. It’s filled with all the goodies you can think of. What’s great about this market is the various cultures they have. It’s a great place to go to try bites from cultures all over the world!

Here are a few restaurants you have to try! Be sure to ask about any allergies you have!

- Hop's Chicken always has a line! I haven't met a person that didn't love what they got and wants to go back to get more. They have crunchy good fried chicken with all the fixings! And don't forget to grab the fries and biscuits too!

- The Atrium is a relatively new restaurant to Ponce. If you're looking for all the vibes and Insta-worthy pics, you need to go here. Just check out how beautiful the flower ceiling is!

- Minero is my go-to stop. If you're a Mexican food lover like I am, you'll love it too. Everything is made fresh - including their tortillas and chips - and is the perfect place to go if you're looking for something light, healthy, and delicious!

On the top level, they have clothing stores and other shops. There truly is something for everyone. And if you decide to go outside, you’ll be greeted with even more stores and fun! But before leaving, be sure to check out the rooftop for the ultimate experience!

And if you want to get really adventurous, you can ride scooters through the Belt Line!

KROG STREET MARKET

Krog Street is also located on the BeltLine. It's a Historic Atlanta Food Hall. Both the inside and the outside are nice and the outdoors is pet friendly! They offer a wide variety of foods so that everyone can have an option.

Because it's on the BeltLine you are also able to walk the line and check out the other shops over there!

THE WORKS

The Works is similar to Ponce. It was built within the last two years and is still being worked on! New restaurants and shops are still on their way!

If you’re into the more artsy and industrial vibe, you’ll love The Works! Outside you’ll see the beautiful details they added to the buildings and the thoughtfulness they put into the design of each building. You’ll also enjoy the outdoor lawn space. Here, you can relax and recharge. They also have events on this lawn that are great for the family!

Inside, you’ll be able to enjoy foods from all over the world. AND there are plenty of Vegan and Gluten Free options! Each food booth is open, making the kitchen and whole area visible to customers. You can even watch your food being made!

They also have events here like yoga, music shows, craft workshops, and more! There truly is something for everyone at The Works ATL!

GIRLS NIGHT OUT

AN IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE: ILLUMINARIUM ATLANTA

I'm sure you've heard of this experience before. Its popularity has grown so much over the years and is only going to get more and more.

The Illuminarium features different experiences that you can enjoy. If you've been to a 4D movie and loved it, this will blow your mind. You will be immersed in this experience in every sense - sight, smell, sound, feel, and taste! Using a combination of different technologies, they are able to project the video on every wall. You will feel the vibrations on your feet and in your seat. They also have scent systems in place to allow you to have the full experience!

Here are a few experiences they have offered in the past.

- WILD - A Safari Experience

- O'Keeffe

- Space

You can also join their email list to stay up to date and be notified about the different experiences coming to your town.

ANDRETTI

If you are an arcade and game lover, Andretti is for you! This is the perfect spot for a group night out with friends. It is perfect because there are things to do with the whole group or individually. Andretti is basically the new and updated version of an arcade and it's having a fun time bound to happen.

If you would like to keep the group together and have fun here are the options for you:

- Duckpin Bowling is not like regular bowling. Instead, you have a smaller bowling ball and pins. Some people think it is harder than regular bowling but I actually think it was easier! Because you can use your whole hand to hold and throw the ball, you have more control over it. No worries though, the scoring and everything else is the same as regular bowling!

- Indoor Karting is the perfect thing to do if your group of friends is competitive. Both children and adults are able to take part in go-kart racing. You'll be able to let your adrenaline flow and race to your heart's content!

Have you been to any of these places? What are some other places that you would add to your ATL Hot Spot list?
